MAAC Announces Spring Esports Slate to Start in January

EDISON, NJ (Dec. 7, 2022) – The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) is back for another season of esports competition for the Spring of 2023 with Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Overwatch 2, and League of Legends.
 
The 2022-23 MAAC Spring Esports slate to be overseen by eFuse will feature Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and Overwatch 2. There will be 10 teams participating in Super Smash and nine teams competing in Overwatch. Beginning January 17, matches for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will take place every Tuesday with a schedule that will be played out over the course of seven weeks. Overwatch matches will take place on Wednesday’s beginning January 18 and will also feature a seven-week match schedule. Matches will take place at 7PM unless otherwise noted and all titles will feature a round-robin schedule allowing for each school to play each other.
 
 
League of Legends will be overseen by Riot, and more details will be announced regarding scheduling and format. Streaming information and full match schedules will be announced in the future.
