EDISON, NJ (Apr. 14, 2026) – The 2026 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Esports Championship took place this past weekend, April 10–12, at Mount St. Mary’s University in Emmitsburg, Maryland. The three-day event showcased the league’s top esports talent, with all competition streamed live on the MAAC Esports Twitch channel. Fans were treated to high-level play across five featured titles: League of Legends, Overwatch 2, Rocket League, Super Smash Bros., and Valorant.
Saturday delivered a full slate of action, beginning with the Program of the Year presentation, where Quinnipiac University earned top honors. The day continued with quarterfinal and semifinal matchups across all five titles, setting the stage for an exciting championship Sunday.
Championship Sunday featured five marquee matchups: No. 1 Quinnipiac vs. No. 3 Marist in Overwatch 2, No. 5 Siena vs. No. 2 Fairfield in Valorant, No. 1 Iona vs. No. 2 Manhattan in Super Smash Bros., No. 1 Siena vs. No. 2 Iona in League of Legends, and No. 1 Quinnipiac vs. No. 2 Fairfield in Rocket League.
Quinnipiac emerged as the most decorated program of the weekend, capturing titles in both Rocket League and Overwatch 2. Fairfield, Iona, and Siena also claimed championships, taking home titles in Valorant, Super Smash Bros., and League of Legends, respectively.
