EDISON, NJ (February 17, 2022) – The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) has unveiled the official logo for the 2022 MAAC Esports Championship in Atlantic City between March 10-12 at the Showboat Hotel.
“Working with the MAAC to launch the new MAAC Esports branding program has been, as always, an honor and a privilege. Extending the brand that we have worked with the MAAC to build over several decades, we are proud to work with the conference to brand their Esports competition and championships program,” Amy Skiles, SVP Business Development, Client Service, Phoenix Design Works said.
The 2022 MAAC Esports Championship will feature four different titles: League of Legends, Overwatch, Rocket League, and Super Smash Bros. Mainline will be producing the broadcast for the Championship.
“We’re excited to unveil this new logo for 2022 and hopefully beyond,” Director of Championships Kelsey Nugent said. “We want the MAAC to be synonymous with tradition and excellence and while our Esports programs are still building their brands, we want this logo to become the trademark of excellence and tradition of MAAC Esports for years to come.”
After competing in the Electronic Gaming Federation (EGF) regular season in the fall and spring, the MAAC is getting ready to conduct their first in-person Esports Championship featuring: Canisius College, Fairfield University, Iona College, Manhattan College, Marist College, Niagara University, Quinnipiac University, Rider University, Saint Peter’s University, and Siena College.
“The new branding program primarily serves the MAAC’s Esports event branding needs, adds to the family of sport specific championship branding for the conference, and extends the brand footprint of the conference overall as well as the MAAC Esports event partner, the Showboat Atlantic City,” Skiles said. “I am certain that this, as well as other new brand initiatives for the conference, will serve the MAAC as the conference continues to evolve and grow to service the needs of their constituents.”
