Player of the Week:
Miah McDonald, Marist

Miah McDonald hit .500 (6-for-12) with a 1.683 OPS (1.083 slugging, .600 on-base), two home runs, eight RBIs, six runs scored, three stolen bases, and two walks in Marist's five games at the Bear Down Fiesta tournament, which included games against nationally-ranked Arizona plus UNLV and Yale. She had three games with multiple RBIs, and two multi-hit games. Against Yale on March 11, McDonald went 2-for-3 with a homer, two RBIs, two runs scored, stolen base, and walk in Marist's 9-0 win. Later that day, she went 1-for-2 with two RBIs, a run scored, and stolen base against UNLV. On March 12, she went 2-for-3 with three RBIs, two runs scored, a homer, a stolen base, and a hit by pitch in Marist's 8-6 win over Yale. Her two-run single keyed a six-run Marist first as the Red Foxes erased an early 3-0 deficit. The following day, she had a double, walk, run scored, and RBI against Arizona. McDonald also played a flawless third base, as she handled 16 chances (13 assists, three putouts) without committing an error.
Pitcher of the Week:
Kristen Brennan, Saint Peter’s
Jr., Staten Island, NY, Moore Catholic
Kristen Brennan had a stellar week for SPU in the circle, appearing in a pair of wins as a part of a 3-1 week for the Peacocks. Brennan started the week by tossing a complete game shutout against South Carolina State, allowing just two hits while striking out three. She then came on in relief against Howard and gave up just one earned run across 3.0 innings of work while fanning three once again. In total, Brennan finished the week with a 0.70 ERA with six punch outs and just four hits allowed in 10.0 innings.
Rookie of the Week:
Kyleigh Potter, Siena
Fr., Queen Creek, AZ, Poston Butte
Potter showed heroics at the plate for the Saints, batting .417 with five hits, six RBI’s, two doubles, her first two collegiate home runs, and a team-high six RBI's in six games last weekend. The freshman pinch-hit a walk-off home run to give the Saints a win over Bucknell, and went long again during their 11-10 marathon win over Lafayette.
