Monmouth’s DiLaurenzio, Diagouraga, Rider’s Schein-Becker, Quinnipiac’s Maples Earn Men’s & Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Weekly Awards

Men’s Track Performer of the Week:
Louis DiLaurenzio, Monmouth
Sr., Hazlet, NJ, Raritan
 
DiLaurenzio won two events for the Hawks at the Towson Invitational. He placed first in 800m event with a time of 1:53.98 and also won the 1500m event, clocking in with a time of 3:55.09.
 
Men’s Field Performer of the Week:
Mohamed Diagouraga, Monmouth
Sr., Trenton, NJ, Trenton Catholic
 
Diagouraga won the triple jump at the Towson Invitational, posting a mark of 14.96m which is fourth all-time in Monmouth history. That mark is good for 66th in the nation and is also the best in the MAAC this season by over one meter.
 
Women’s Track Performer of the Week:
Teagan Schein-Baker, Rider
Sr., Trappe, PA, Perkiomen Valley  
 
Schein-Becker won the 1500 meters at the prestigious Colonial Relays by over five seconds in 4:24.23. She is number one in the MAAC by over two seconds. It is an ECAC qualifier and also the 45th ranked time in the NCAA East Preliminary List (Top 48 make the NCAA First Round). It is also the number two time in Rider history. She also anchored the winning 4x1500m relay to a new Rider record by over 32 seconds. She made up 80 meters on the first place team on the anchor leg and split 4:21.
 
Women’s Field Performer of the Week:
Mikah Maples, Quinnipiac
Gr., Mowequa, IL, Central A&M
 
Mikah Maples had two great days at William & Mary's Colonial Relays this past weekend. She took first place in the javelin championship heat (top heat for the weekend) with a 44.76m toss, which is an ECAC qualifying mark, a new career best and second-best mark in the MAAC this season. She also tallied a 13.33m toss in the shot put, taking seventh place overall and placed ninth in the discus throw championship heat with a 44.17m throw.
