EDISON, NJ (Jan. 9, 2024) – The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) announced a one-year contract renewal with the Showboat Hotel and Casino for the rights to serve as the host facility of the 2024 MAAC Esports Championship. The 2024 championship will mark the third consecutive year that the event will be held at the Showboat.
The MAAC Esports Championship will be held from March 14-16, 2024 in both the Bourbon Room and Harlem Ballroom and will be host to the 10 Esports teams in the conference. The competing five titles at the championships will be League of Legends, Overwatch, Rocket League, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, and Valorant.
“We are excited to be back at the Showboat for the 2024 Esports Championship,” MAAC Assistant Commissioner of Championships, Kelsey Nugent said. “Coming off of the successes from the past two years, the Showboat has been a great place to host our event, creating the best experience for our student-athletes.”
The Showboat Hotel is located at 801 Boardwalk, Atlantic City, NJ, 08401.
