Rider Sweeps MAAC Outdoor Track & Field Weekly Awards

Women’s Track Performer of the Week:
Mariah Stephens, Rider
Jr., Egg Harbor Township, NJ, Egg Harbor Township
 
Mariah Stephens won the 100m hurdles in the Rider 5 Way in an ECAC qualifying mark of 14.35 and was on the winning 4x100m relay. Both are the top times in the MAAC.
 
Women’s Field Performer of the Week:
Olivia Smith, Rider
So, Westhampton, NJ, Rancocas Valley
 
Olivia Smith won the long jump in the Rider 5 Way in 5.77m. It is an ECAC qualifying mark, top mark in the MAAC, and the 5th best mark in Rider history.
 
Men’s Track Performer of the Week:
Artie Burgess, Rider
Sr., Coatesville, PA, Coatesville

Senior Artie Burgess won the 400m in 48.40 at the Rider 5 Way which is an IC4A mark and was also the anchor on the winning 4x100m relay. The 4x100m is the top time in the MAAC.
 
Men’s Field Performer of the Week:
Devynn Lee, Rider
Sr., Jackson, NJ, Jackson Memorial
 
Devynn Lee won two events at the Rider 5 Way. HJ 2.04m and TJ 14.28m  Both are IC4A qualifying marks and both marks are the top marks in the MAAC.
 
The 2024 MAAC Men's and Women's Outdoor Track & Field Championships will be held on Saturday and Sunday, May 4-5, 2024, at Michael P. Brady Track & Field Complex in Lawrenceville, NJ, hosted by Rider University. With 11 institutions strongly bound by the sound principles of quality and integrity in academics and excellence in athletics, the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) is in its 43rd year of competition during the 2023-24 academic year. Current conference members include: Canisius University, Fairfield University, Iona University, Manhattan College, Marist College, Mount St. Mary’s University, Niagara University, Quinnipiac University, Rider University, Saint Peter’s University, and Siena College. Merrimack College and Sacred Heart University will join the MAAC as full members in the 2024-25 academic year, expanding the conference to 13 institutions.
