LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ (May 11, 2025) – Rider University has once again been crowned as Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Women's Outdoor Track & Field Champions, winning the 2025 title on Sunday afternoon on its home field, at Michael P. Brady Track & Field Complex in Lawrenceville, NJ. The Broncs cruised to their third straight MAAC Championship by compiling 230 team points, 92.5 points better than runner-up Sacred Heart University, while never relinquishing the lead during the two-day meet. The trophy for Rider was the sixth in its program history.
On the final day of the championship, Rider secured almost half the individual gold medals, winning six out of the 15 total events. The Broncs had individual MAAC Champions in the high jump (Savanna Marcantonio, 1.69m), 4x100m relay (Dylan Giloley, Hailey Palmer, Taylor Johnson, Valencia Gosser, 46.24), 100m hurdle (Raisa Palleija, 13.94), 400m (Hailey Palmer, 55.28), 200m (Dylan Giloley, 24.07), and 4x400m relay (Hailey Palmer, Morgan Jean, Tamara Rawles, Dylan Giloley, 3:45.78). Both the 4x100 and 4x400 relay team’s finishing times were MAAC Championship records. In addition to the hexad of gold medals, Rider also collected six silvers and five bronze medals to cap off the championship victory. The Broncs’ dominating performances led to a trio of major awards which included Bob Hamer winning Coach of the Year, Hailey Palmer winning Track Most Outstanding Performer, and Dylan Giloley winning Track Rookie of the Meet.
Mount St. Mary’s University had the second-most golds on the day, picking up a trio of top finishes. The Mountaineer’s individual champions were Madelyn Valpy in the triple jump (12.24m), Keighan Decoff in the discus (42.56m), and Maeve Parrish in the 800m (2:15.10). Just behind them with a pair of gold medalists was Quinnipiac University, getting champions in the 100m and 5000m. The Bobcats winners consisted of Nyasia Dailey, who broke her own MAAC record in the 100 which she set in yesterday’s prelims, this time crossing the finish line in 11.69, while Rachel St. Germain won the 5k in 17:11.24. Manhattan University, Marist University, and Sacred Heart each collected one gold medal on Sunday. Martina Martinez was the lone MAAC individual champ for the Jaspers, winning the 400m hurdles (1:00.93). The Red Foxes 4x800m relay team of Kayla Hawkins, Grace Fletcher, Sierra Fisher, and Parker O'Brien won the MAAC title in 9:08.57. Elena Chaplin from the Pios took the crown in the shot put with a championship toss of 12.86m.
