Men’s Swimmer of the Week
Harry Platt, Iona

In the teams win over NJIT, Platt secured three first place finishes in the 100-free, 200-free, and the 400-free-relay. His times were 1:42.80 in the 200-free, 0:47 in the 100-free and a team time of 3:07.13 in the 400-free relay. He also added a second place finish in the 50-yard free with a time of 0:21.4.
Men’s Diver of the Week
Dylan Riccio, Iona
Sr., Harrison, NY, Archbishop Stepinac
With two wins against NJIT, Riccio set school records on the one-meter board with a 6-dive total of 283.35-points, eclipsing the 2001 mark of 276.10 by Kieran Smyth. On the 3-Meter Board, the Harrison, NY resident broke the 300-point barrier totaling 303.60-points, which was a dozen ahead of the oldest record on the IUSD books set in 1988.
Men’s Rookie of the Week
Andrew Nathe, Fairfield
Fr., Sagamore Beach, MA, Sturgis Charter
Andrew Nathe made his Fairfield debut with strong showings in the 50 free and the 100 free, taking first-place finishes in both events. He opened with the 50 free and touched the wall in 23.42. He returned to the poll for the 100 free and secured the best time by clocking in at 53.13. He was also on the first-place 400 free relay as the group completed the event in 3:27.58.
Women’s Swimmer of the Week
Mary Grace Waring, Iona
So., Saint James, NY, Smithtown East
In the teams win over Siena, Mary Grace earned three wins. She won the 200-free with a time of 1:57.03, her second individual win was the 100-fly wining by .04 of a second (0:58.85). Her third win of the day was in the 200-yard Medley Relay with a team time of 1:48.65 and split time of 0:24.12.
Women’s Diver of the Week
Ryleigh Mahoney, Sacred Heart
FY., Salem, NH, Salem
Ryleigh Mahoney opened the season with four combined first place dives. She had two wins in the 1M and 3M at the Fairfield Invite, capturing first place in the 1-meter dive with a score of 235.10, which ranks fifth all-time in program history, and the 3-meter event. In a victory over Stony Brook, Mahoney was a double winner on the diving boards, capturing first place in both the 1-meter six-dive event (232.50) and the 1-meter five-dive event (171.90).
Women’s Rookie of the Week
Marissa Hengesbach, Iona
Fr., Auburndale, FL, Bishop Moore Catholic
The Freshman won a gold medal in the 200-yard Butterfly, winning at 2:09.71, she also had another win in 500 yard free with a 5:17.9 time. Was also part of a second place relay team finish in the 400-Free relay. (3:40.26).
