NEW YORK - Quinnipiac men's tennis battled on Friday morning in its NCAA Tournament matchup vs. No. 23 Clemson, falling 4-0 at Philip and Cheryl Milstein Family Tennis Center.
The Bobcats will wrap up the season with 11 straight wins prior to the NCAA Tournament contest (12 victories overall). QU claimed its second-straight MAAC Tournament Championship in 2024-25 under Head Coach Bryan Adinolfi
At No. 2 doubles, Daniel Velek/James Lorenzetti were down just 4-3 before Clemson clinched the point.
Daniel Velek (No. 1 singles) battled 7-5 in the first set against Clemson's Noa Vukadin. Carlos Braun Simo's unfinished matchup (No. 3 singles) against Romain Gales was 6-3, 4-4 in the second set.

THE 2024-25 SEASON
- QU won back-to-back MAAC Championships for the first time in program history (2023-24, 2024-25).
- Elias Hoxha finished 10-0 in singles against MAAC opponents, the best record on QU. He was named the MAAC Tournament's Most Outstanding Performer after going 4-0 between singles and doubles with teammate Alex Yang.
- QU is 21-4 against MAAC opponents since Bryan Adolfi was named head coach in 2022.
- The Bobcats posted a 10-0 mark against the MAAC this season, their best record in program history.
- Velek's singles career in the MAAC ends at 14-3.
