2025 MAAC Softball Championship Semifinals Relocating to Iona University Due to Inclement Weather

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY (May 9, 2025) – Due to rain earlier in the week in Poughkeepsie, along with significant rainfall on Friday, the MAAC has made the decision to relocate Friday's three scheduled games from Marist to Iona’s turf field because of unplayable field conditions. The decision to relocate Friday's games to Saturday at Iona was guided by the Conference’s commitment to ensuring that its champion is determined through on-field competition.

The updated schedule for Saturday is as follows:

Game 9: #1 Marist vs. #6 Rider – 11:00 a.m.
Game 10: #2 Fairfield vs. #4 Siena - Will begin approximately 25 minutes after the conclusion of the preceding game.
Game 11: Loser Game 9 vs. Winner Game 10 - Will begin approximately 25 minutes after the conclusion of the preceding game.

Unfortunately, due to the last-minute change in venue, the games on Saturday at Iona will not be streamed on ESPN+. Admission at Iona will be free.

Game 12 will return to Marist on Sunday and is currently scheduled to be played at 9:00 a.m. The game will be streamed live on ESPN+. The “if necessary game” (Game 13) will be begin approximately 25 minutes after the conclusion of Game 12.
