EDISON, NJ (July 28, 2025) – The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) has officially partnered with Accelerate Sports Ventures to serve as the Conference’s consultant for Revenue Sharing and Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL). As the landscape of college athletics continues to evolve, Accelerate will play a pivotal role in advising the Conference on how to strategically navigate this rapidly changing era.
“Conferences and schools need to be strategic, and laser focused on how to administer and execute revenue sharing, NIL, and how it impacts the transfer portal., Accelerate will deliver strategy, true market data, analytics, and best practices on how to succeed in this new world” said CEO Doug Fillis. “At the beginning of the NIL era, our clients were worried about competing given the rapid change. Since then, those clients have won National Championships, played in CFP playoffs, multiple Final Fours, and bowl games. We will continue to play an important role in helping our partners be highly competitive and successful.”
“Accelerate brings a high level of strategic expertise and real-time insight that adds immediate value to the Conference,” said MAAC Commissioner Travis Tellitocci. “Their understanding of the national NIL landscape, combined with their data-driven approach, positions the MAAC to proactively support our institutions and student-athletes as we navigate this new era of college athletics. We look forward to continuing our work with Doug and his team to further position the MAAC for long-term success in this evolving environment.”
Since the partnership began, Accelerate has already delivered tangible value to the MAAC. This includes in-person education sessions with the MAAC men’s and women’s basketball head coaches, in-depth sessions with athletic directors and Senior Woman Administrators (SWAs), and industry updates with the Council of Presidents.
The MAAC joins Accelerate’s growing list of partners, which includes Penn State, UConn, Boston College, NC State, Utah, American University, the California Community College Athletic Association (3C2A), and more than 200 high schools across the country. Several MAAC member institutions, including Fairfield, Merrimack, and Siena, also work with Accelerate as individual clients.
