Merrimack’s Qureshi and Quinnipiac’s O’Donnell Named Bob McCloskey Insurance MAAC Student-Athletes of the Week

Gab has had a fantastic start to his collegiate career taking wins in 400 meter at the Suffolk Icebreaker (48.75) and Harvard Invitational  (48.40), 600 meter (1:20.77) and 4x400 (3:24.22) at the MIT Gordon Kelly Invitational. He's also taken three other podium finishes with a second place in the 4x400 at the Suffolk Invitational (3:21.66) and in the same event at the Harvard Invitational (3:22.05) while also getting a podium in the 200 meter dash with a time of 22.05.

Ella O’Donnell, Quinnipiac, Women’s Basketball

Ella O'Donnell helped lead the Bobcats to a 1-1 week as they improved to 21-5 overall and 16-1 in conference play. Last week, Ella O'Donnell averaged 14.0 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game in 26.5 minutes in two contests. In Quinnipiac's win over Siena, O'Donnell scored 14 points on 45.5% shooting from the field. O'Donnell finished a rebound shy of a double-double, finishing with nine in 21 minutes of action. On Saturday against Fairfield, O'Donnell scored a team-high 14 points on 75% shooting from the field. O'Donnell is second on the team in scoring (11.8 PPG), second in rebounds (5.6), and second in assists (80). O'Donnell ranks first on the team with 36 steals and first in field goal percentage (50.2%).
