The championship effort was sparked early on the final day when senior Nyasia Dailey electrified the track in the 60-meter dash, breaking the MAAC Championship record with a time of 7.40 seconds. Her gold medal performance set the tone for the remainder of the evening and provided a surge of momentum that the Bobcats carried throughout the session.
Quinnipiac continued to control the sprint events as Isabella Anzaldo captured gold in both the 200-meter dash and the 400-meter dash, showcasing her versatility and speed. The Bobcats also demonstrated their strength in the relays, winning the 4x800-meter relay before closing the meet in commanding fashion with a first-place finish in the 4x400-meter relay. The final relay victory served as a fitting exclamation point on a historic championship run.
In addition to their event victories, Quinnipiac accumulated valuable points in distance races, field events, and hurdles, highlighting the program’s balance and depth. Strong scoring performances in the mile, 3,000 meters, pole vault, triple jump, and shot put ensured the Bobcats maintained control of the team standings throughout the meet.
Finishing second overall, the Sacred Heart University Pioneers compiled 98.5 team points in a strong runner-up performance. Sacred Heart secured three gold medals on the women’s side, led by Ariyana Jackson’s victory in the 60-meter hurdles and Jenna Engels’ first-place finish in the pole vault. The Pioneers added silver and bronze medal performances across sprints, throws, and relays, consistently placing athletes on the podium and keeping pace in the team standings.
Mount St. Mary’s finished third with 84 points, followed closely by Rider with 83, rounding out a competitive championship field.
