2025-26 Richard J. Ensor, Esq. MAAC Commissioner’s Cup Standings Following Winter Season

EDISON, NJ (Mar. 30, 2026) – Fairfield University leads the 2025-26 Richard J. Ensor, Esq. Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Commissioner’s Cup standings following the winter season, announced by the league office today.
 
The two-time defending Commissioner’s Cup champions, Fairfield, leads all MAAC schools with a conference-high 129.00 points following the conclusion of the winter season. The Stags captured three out of the six winter championships, sweeping the men’s and women’s swimming and diving championships and capturing its third straight women’s basketball championship crown. Additionally, Fairfield’s women’s basketball squad earned a share of the regular season championship, while the men’s basketball team advanced to the semifinal round of the postseason conference championship.
 
Quinnipiac University and Sacred Heart University are tied in second place with 107.50 points each, followed by Iona University in fourth place with 103.00 points and Siena University in fifth place with 97.00 points to round out the top five.
 
In addition to leading the overall standings, Fairfield also sits atop of the women’s standings with 83.50 points. Siena leads the men’s standings with 53.50 points, having won the men’s basketball championship title.
 
The Richard J. Ensor, Esq. MAAC Commissioner’s Cup is awarded annually as a symbol of overall excellence in athletics in the 23 championships conducted within the MAAC. Only the scores from Men’s & Women’s Basketball, plus the top six men’s and top six women’s scores are used to determine an institution’s total points. On May 1, 2023, the MAAC Council of Presidents approved the renaming of the MAAC Commissioner’s Cup after retired MAAC Commissioner Richard J. Ensor, Esq., in honor of his legacy and exemplary service to intercollegiate athletics.
