Men’s Player of the Week
Carlos Braun Simo, Quinnipiac

Carlos Braun Simo posted a 5-1 record in a 2-1 week for the Bobcats, competing at No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles. The junior went 3-0 in singles, winning all three matches in straight sets. He opened the week with a 6-4, 7-5 victory over Van Nooten of Merrimack and added a 6-4 doubles win alongside Alessandro Sciacca. On Saturday against Mount St. Mary’s, Braun Simo earned a 6-3, 6-3 singles win over Pournaropoulous while teaming with Sciacca for another 7-5 doubles victory. He closed out the week with his third straight singles win, defeating Froberg Dahlin of Rider, 6-1, 6-4.
Women’s Player of the Week
Willow Renton, Quinnipiac
So., Goshen, KY, North Oldham High School
Willow Renton posted a perfect 6-0 record across three matches against Merrimack, Mount St. Mary’s, and Rider, competing at No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles with partner Caitlin Flower. The sophomore helped the Bobcats’ extend their win streak to nine matches, including six in MAAC play. Renton swept all three of her singles matches in straight sets. She opened the week with a dominant 6-0, 6-0 victory over Kiana Thompson of Merrimack, while also teaming with Flower for a 6-1 doubles win. On Saturday against Mount St. Mary's, Renton earned a 6-1, 6-3 singles victory over Emma Perkins and added a 6-1 doubles win with Flower. She closed out the weekend on Sunday with a 6-4, 6-1 singles win over Lisa Dierick, along with another 6-1 doubles victory against Rider.
Women’s Rookie of the Week
Eirini Tsakiri, Mount St. Mary's
Fr., Mytilene, Greece, Mytilene
Tsakiri went 2-1 in singles play and 2-1 in doubles action in helping the Mount to a 2-1 record on the week with wins over Wagner (6-1) and Fairfield (5-2) with a loss to Quinnipiac (5-2). Tsakiri, playing at No. 2 singles, earned an easy 6-1, 6-1 win over Wagner while cruising to a 6-1, 6-2 win against Fairfield. Her loss came against Quinnipiac. Tsakiri teamed with Margherita Trolese for wins at No. 3 doubles against Wagner (6-1) and Fairfield (6-4) while the duo was edged by a Quinnipiac pair (6-4).
The 2026 MAAC Men's & Women's Tennis Championships are a four-team, single-elimination championships taking place on April 25-26 at Mercer County Park Tennis Center in West Windsor, NJ. The 2026 Championships will be the 14
