2026 MAAC Men’s Lacrosse Championship Continues in Loudonville on Thursday in the Semifinal Round

EDISON, NJ (Apr. 29, 2026) – The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Men’s Lacrosse Championship continues Thursday, April 30 with semifinal action, as No. 1 Siena takes on No. 4 Merrimack at 12:00 PM, followed by No. 2 Marist facing No. 3 Sacred Heart at 4:00 PM. Both matchups will be played at top-seeded Siena’s Hickey Field in Loudonville, NY.

Top-seeded Siena University returns to the semifinal round for the fifth consecutive year, seeking its fifth MAAC Men’s Lacrosse Championship title. After earning a first-round bye, the Saints will open postseason play against No. 4 Merrimack. The Warriors punched their ticket to the semifinals with a thrilling 14–13 victory over No. 5 Quinnipiac in North Andover, showcasing their ability to execute in tight, high-pressure moments. These two programs met in the regular season finale on April 22, where Merrimack secured a decisive 14–6 win on Siena’s home field, adding an extra layer of intrigue to this semifinal rematch. Despite the previous result, Siena enters the top seed and will look to defend its home turf at Hickey Field. Thursday’s matchup marks the first-ever postseason meeting between the Saints and Warriors, with a spot in the MAAC Championship game on the line.

No. 2 Marist University will take on No. 3 Sacred Heart University in the second semifinal matchup of the MAAC Men’s Lacrosse Championship. Both teams earned first-round byes, setting up a highly anticipated clash with a spot in the title game on the line. Marist makes its 14th semifinal appearance and is in pursuit of its fifth MAAC championship. Sacred Heart, is making its fifth semifinal appearance and is aiming for its second championship title. The two teams met during the regular season on April 18, where Sacred Heart edged Marist in a tight 14–13 contest in Poughkeepsie. Thursday’s game marks the first-ever MAAC semifinal meeting between Marist and Sacred Heart.
 
The 2026 MAAC Men's Lacrosse Championship is a five-team, single-elimination championship taking place from Sunday, April 26 through Sunday, May 2, 2025. The first round will be hosted by the No. 4 seed while the semifinals and championship will be hosted by the top overall seed.
