EDISON, NJ (November 17, 2021) – Siena’s Owen Walker and Monmouth’s Sammi Ragenklint have been named the Hercules Tires Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Student-Athletes of the Week.

Men’s Cross Country
A four-year member of the team, Walker has been a solid contributor during cross country season throughout his collegiate career, placing 41
st at the MAAC Championships his freshman year, 25
th his sophomore season, 16
th his junior year, and 37
th this past season. Walker currently owns the 13
th fastest 8k runner in program history, as well as the 6
th fastest in the 10k. A three-time member of the MAAC All-Academic Team and four-time MAAC Academic Honor Roll honoree, Walker graduated in three years with a degree in accounting, and is currently in graduate school, holding a 3.97 cumulative GPA. He has been a member of Siena's 4.0 Club, as well as on the President's List.

Women’s Cross Country
Ragenklint became the first Hawk in school history to qualify for the NCAA Division I XC Championships with her result at the Mid-Atlantic Regionals on Friday. The junior finished fifth overall out of 193 competitors, clocking in with a time of 20:28.6. She has put together an impressive 2021 campaign, winning two events and setting new personal bests in the 5k, 6k, and 6.17k events. Ragenklint has also shined in the classroom; a biology major with a concentration in molecular cell physiology, she currently holds a 4.00 GPA.
