LOUDONVILLE, NY (Oct. 29, 2022) – Quinnipiac University took home the 2022 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Women’s Cross Country Championship on Saturday, October 29 at The Crossings at Colonie in Loudonville, New York. The title was the second in program history for the Bobcats.
Olivia Lomascolo of Siena College earned 2022 Women’s Most Outstanding Runner honors, finishing the 6k course in a time of 21:13.6. The individual MAAC title for Lomascolo was the first ever by a Siena Saint.
Quinnipiac had a trio of runners secure top-five finishes, led by a second-place finish from Emily Young (21:23.2), a third-place spot by Liv DiStefano (21:30.8) and a fifth-place finish by Rachel St. Germain (21:32.5). Also earning a top-five finish was Lomascolo’s teammate, Delia McDade Clay (21:31.8) who finished in fourth-place. St. Germain earned the 2022 MAAC Women’s Cross Country Rookie of the Year award additionally.
Along with St. Germain on the MAAC All-Rookie Team were the Iona duo of Tayla Gunton (21:39.3) and Cara Du Preez (22:18.2), Siena’s Stephanie Querioz, and Parker O’Brien of Marist.

Postseason competition continues Friday, November 11 at the NCAA Northeast Regional Championship which takes place at Van Courtlandt Park in New York, NY. The NCAA Division I Championship will take place November 19 in Stillwater, Oklahoma at Greiner Family OSU Cross Country Course.
