EDISON, NJ (Oct. 28, 2022) – A total of 103 student-athletes were named to the 2022 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Men’s Cross Country All-Academic Team, the MAAC announced today.
To be eligible for the MAAC All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must complete two semesters at their institution and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 on a 4.0 scale.
Iona University led all MAAC schools with a conference-high 17 student-athletes named to the All-Academic Team. Just behind the Gaels were Marist College, Rider University, and Siena College, placing 15, 15, and 14 honorees on the team, respectively. Canisius College followed with 10 selections, while Quinnipiac University placed nine on the team. Rounding out the All-Academic team were Fairfield University (6), Manhattan College (6), Mount St. Mary’s University (5), Saint Peter’s University (4), and Niagara University (2).

The 2022 MAAC Men's & Women’s Cross Country Championships will be held at The Crossings of Colonie course in Loudonville, New York on Saturday, October 29. The one-day event will be hosted by Siena College. This will be the second time Siena serves as host of the cross country championships at The Crossings of Colonie, having previously hosted the tournament in 2018.
