EDISON, NJ (Oct. 28, 2022) – A total of 104 student-athletes earned 2022 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Women’s Cross Country All-Academic Team honors, the MAAC announced today.
To be eligible for the MAAC All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must complete two semesters at their institution and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 on a 4.0 scale.
Marist College led all MAAC schools with a league-best 19 student-athletes named to the All-Academic Team. Also placing double-figure members on the team were both Canisius College and Siena College with 15 honorees each. The trio of Fairfield University, Iona University, and Quinnipiac University followed, each placing nine on the team. Niagara University received eight selections, Rider University added seven, Mount St. Mary’s and Manhattan College each placed six, and Saint Peter’s University close out the All-Academic Team with one honoree.

The 2022 MAAC Men's & Women’s Cross Country Championships will be held at The Crossings of Colonie course in Loudonville, New York on Saturday, October 29. The one-day event will be hosted by Siena College. This will be the second time Siena serves as host of the cross country championships at The Crossings of Colonie, having previously hosted the tournament in 2018.
