EDISON, NJ (Nov. 2, 2022) – Quinnipiac’s David Bercedo and Rider’s Alicia Iafrate have been named the Hercules Tires Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Student-Athletes of the Week.

In a 2-0 week for the Bobcats, Quinnipiac men’s soccer captain, David Bercedo, tallied a goal and three assists for five points. Bercedo, opened the week with a goal and an assist in Quinnipiac’s 5-0 road victory over Mount St. Mary’s on Oct. 26. He followed that performance with an assist in both Bobcats’ goals in a 2-0 home victory over Canisius this past Saturday that helped Quinnipiac clinch a top-two seed in the upcoming MAAC Tournament. The MAAC leader in goals with 11 on the campaign, Bercedo also leads the conference in points (28) and points per game (1.65), while ranking second in game-winning goals (3).

Women’s Volleyball
Iafrate, is in the midst of her best year with the Broncs, compiling a career-high 170 digs to go along with 10 service aces. In a MAAC win over Iona, Iafrate, led the Broncs with a career-high 26 digs. She has also maintained a 3.561 GPA on her way toward earning a degree in Global Supply Chain Management.
