Quinnipiac’s Zimbardo and Iona’s Keane Named Hercules Tires MAAC Student-Athletes of the Week

Male Student-Athlete of the Week
Jared Zimbardo, Quinnipiac, Baseball
Sr., Middlesex, NJ, Middlesex High School

Jared Zimbardo went 5-for-18 this past week for the Bobcats and helped them earn a nonconference win over UMass. Zimbardo scored six times this past week and drove in one run. Jared led off the first game against Niagara with a solo home run, his fifth of the year. Jared has reached base safely in 42 straight games and 42 out of 43 games this season. 
 
Female Student-Athlete of the Week
Claragh Keane, Iona, Women's Track & Field
Fr., Murrintown, Ireland, Presentation Secondary School

Keane was the bronze medalist in the 10,000-meter run, posting a time of 36:08.50 in the longest event at the championship as she was one of three Gaels to earn a medal. The freshman was named Rookie of the Meet for her bronze medal in the 10,000-meter run on Saturday.
