2022 MAAC Softball Season Begins Tomorrow

EDISON, NJ (February 17, 2022) – The 2022 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) softball season begins tomorrow six teams in action throughout the weekend.
 
The 2022 preseason favorite Marist College Red Foxes open their season in Wilmington, NC with a doubleheader starting at 1 pm against UNC Wilmington on Friday.
 
Fairfield University who finished right behind Marist in the preseason poll begins their season in Raleigh, NC where they take on North Carolina State at 3 pm and then Mount St. Mary’s (MD.) at 5:30 pm.
 
The defending MAAC Softball tournament champion Manhattan College begin their season on February 25 in the McNeese St. Cowgirl Classic in Lake Charles, LA against UT-Arlington at 1:15 pm.

Rider vs. UNC Greensboro at 4 pm
Canisius vs. SC State at 5 pm

Marist vs. Bucknell at 10 am
Monmouth vs. North Carolina at 11 am
Rider vs. George Washington at 11:30 am
Canisius vs. Northern Kentucky at 12 pm
Quinnipiac vs. Howard at 1 pm (DH)
Fairfield vs. NC State at 3 pm
Marist vs. UNC Wilmington 3 pm
Monmouth vs. Butler at 4 pm
Rider vs. UNC Greensboro at 4:30 pm
Canisius vs. SC State at 5 pm
 
Sunday, February 20-
 
Fairfield vs. Lehigh at 10 am
Marist vs. Bucknell at 10 am
Canisius vs. Northern Kentucky at 11 am
Monmouth vs. Stetson at 11:30 am
Rider vs. George Washington at 12 pm
Quinnipiac vs. Howard at 1 pm
Monmouth vs. Florida Atlantic at 2 pm
 
On Friday February 25, Saint Peter’s University kicks their season off against Lafayette College at 9 am, Iona College begins their season against Presbyterian College at 11:30 am and Siena College opens against Princeton University at 1:30 pm.
 
Niagara University opens their season on Thursday, March 10 in Madeira Beach, FL against the University of Toledo at 4 pm.
 
The 2022 MAAC Softball Championships is a six-team double elimination tournament that will be hosted by the highest seed between May 11-14. All information regarding the MAAC Softball Championships can be found at maacsports.com.
