Offensive Player of the Week
Olivia Doody, Fairfield
Sr., Newtown, PA, Germantown Academy
Olivia Doody tallied 12 points in a 2-0 week of MAAC play for the Stags to earn Offensive Player of the Week honors. She had six points in each victory, posting two goals and four assists at Iona on Wednesday followed by a career-high five goals with an assist in Saturday's home win over Marist. The senior scored the goal that stood up as the game-winner in both contests. Doody also nabbed three ground balls with a pair of caused turnovers.
Defensive Player of the Week
Sabrina Krasner, Siena
Sr., Roseland, NJ, West Essex
Siena’s Sabrina Krasner made a combined 18 saves and allowed an average of 7.0 goals per contest in two earned wins. The senior goalkeeper also added in seven ground balls to claim Defensive Player of the Week recognition.
Rookie of the Week
Katie Ling, Niagara
Fr., Springboro, OH, Springboro
In her first career start, Niagara’s Katie Ling recorded 11 saves and held Quinnipiac to eight goals en route to her first career win between the pipes. Ling became the first freshman goalie for Niagara to post double-digit saves since 2019 and the first to do it in her first start.
The 2023 MAAC Women's Lacrosse Championship is a six-team, single-elimination tournament taking place April 30 - May 7, 2023. The Opening Round will take place on Sunday, April 30 and will be hosted by the third and fourth seeds. The semifinal and final are set for Friday, May 5 and Sunday, May 7, with the highest overall seed set to serve as host.
