MAAC Announces 2024 Men’s Tennis All-Academic Team

WEST WINDSOR, NJ (Apr. 19, 2024) – A total of 39 student-athletes were named to the 2024 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Men’s Tennis All-Academic Team, announced by the league office today.
 
To be eligible for the MAAC All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must complete two semesters at their institution and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 on a 4.0 scale.
 
Rider University led the MAAC with 11 student-athletes placed on the All-Academic Team. Mount St. Mary’s University had the second-most selections with a total of seven honorees, followed by Niagara University with six. Fairfield University and Quinnipiac University each added five student-athletes on the team while Marist College placed three members and Siena College added two.

The 2024 MAAC Men's & Women's Tennis Championships will take place on April 20-21 at Mercer County Park Tennis Center in West Windsor, NJ. The 2024 Championships will be the 12th consecutive time the event is held at Mercer County Park Tennis Center dating back to the 2012 MAAC Men's & Women's Tennis Championships. About the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference:
With 11 institutions strongly bound by the sound principles of quality and integrity in academics and excellence in athletics, the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) is in its 43rd year of competition during the 2023-24 academic year. Current conference members include: Canisius University, Fairfield University, Iona University, Manhattan College, Marist College, Mount St. Mary’s University, Niagara University, Quinnipiac University, Rider University, Saint Peter’s University, and Siena College. Merrimack College and Sacred Heart University will join the MAAC as full members in the 2024-25 academic year, expanding the conference to 13 institutions.
