EDISON, NJ (Apr. 25, 2024) - The 2024 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Men's Lacrosse Championship will begin Saturday, April 27 with two opening round games. The 2024 MAAC Men's Lacrosse Championship will take place between April 27 and May 4, 2024.
The six-team, single-elimination tournament will start on Saturday, April 27 with the opening round games being hosted by Manhattan College and Marist College. No. 3 seed Manhattan College will host No. 6 seed Quinnipiac University at 12pm in one opening round matchup, while the second opening round game will take place between No. 4 seed Marist College and No. 5 seed Siena College at 7pm at Marist's Tenney Stadium.
Regular season champions, Sacred Heart University, which went 9-0 in the MAAC and No. 2 LIU, who posted an 7-2 MAAC record, will receive opening round byes. The two teams will take on the winners of the opening round games in the semifinal round on Thursday, May 2.
The semifinals and championship final will be hosted by the higher remaining MAAC member institution. Per MAAC bylaws, associate members are not eligible to host conference championships. Since Sacred Heart does not become a full member of the Conference until July 1, 2024, they are not eligible to host the men’s lacrosse semifinals or championship.
The host site for the semifinal rounds will be determined after the conclusions of Saturday’s games, with the winners of the opening round taking on the top two seeds on Thursday, May 2. The championship title game will be held on Saturday, May 4 and will start at 11 a.m., with the match airing live on ESPNU.
Opening Round
No. 3 Manhattan (6-8, 6-3 MAAC) vs. No. 6 Quinnipiac (9-4, 5-4 MAAC)

No. 3 Manhattan will welcome No. 6 Quinnipiac in the opening round matchup on Saturday afternoon. The last time these two teams met was on March 27 with the Jaspers pushing past the Bobcats, 15-12. The last MAAC Championship Title Manhattan claimed was in 2022 where the Jaspers beat former MAAC member St. Bonaventure, 8-7. The Jaspers were the No. 1 seed in the 2023 tournament, but ended their season losing to Siena, 11-8, in the semifinal round. Manhattan is looking to claim their program’s third MAAC title this year. Quinnipiac will be in pursuit of their program’s second MAAC title, coming into the 2024 tournament as the No. 6 seed. The last time the Bobcats earned the MAAC Champion title was in 2016 when they beat Marist, 13-9, in front of their home crowd. Quinnipiac is second in the MAAC in goal per game and points per game, averaging 13.08 and 20.15, respectively. The Bobcats and the Jaspers have never met in the postseason before.
No. 4 Marist (8-6, 5-4 MAAC) vs. No. 5 Siena (7-7, 5-4 MAAC)

No. 4 Marist will host No. 5 Siena on Saturday night in Poughkeepsie. This matchup will be a rematch of the 2023 MAAC title game as well as a rematch from the regular season where the Red Foxes edged the Saints, 14-13, in a game that aired on ESPNU. The Red Foxes are the reigning MAAC Champions and are looking to secure their fifth title in program history. Marist is entering the postseason on a four-game winning streak. The Saints are making their postseason appearance for the fourth straight year, looking to bring home their fourth MAAC title. The Saints are coming into the postseason on a two-game winning streak.
