Maddy Theriault tallied nine points on four goals and one assist in Fairfield's 2-0 week. Theriault scored one goal in a 4-0 clean sheet win for Fairfield over Mount St. Mary’s on Wednesday. On Sunday, in another 4-0 shut win for the Stags, this time coming over Saint Peter's, Theriault recorded a hat trick. She also became the third Stag ever to reach 100 career points.
Defensive Player of the Week
Kyran Thievon, Sacred Heart
Jr., Toms River, NJ, Toms River North
Junior keeper Kyran Thievon posted a pair of clean sheet wins for Sacred Heart in a 2-0 week. Thievon recorded eight saves in all 180 minutes of action in goal. In a 2-0 victory over Merrimack on Wednesday, she made two stops. In 2-0 win at Niagara, she made six saves. Thievon earned her sixth clean sheet of the year and third consecutive.
Rookie of the Week
Ava Barker, Iona
Fr., Bloomfield, NJ, Bloomfield
Rookie Ava Barker paced the Iona University women’s soccer team in scoring this past week. The Bloomfield, NJ native tallied her first collegiate goal and first career brace in Wednesday’s 2-2 draw against Rider. Barker scored her first collegiate goal just 39 seconds into the game and then followed up with her second tally 13 minutes later. She followed that up with five shot attempts in 73 minutes played in Saturday’s 1-0 win over Mount St. Mary’s.
The 2025 MAAC Women’s Soccer Championship is a six-team, single-elimination championship taking place November 2-9, 2025. Each match during the championship will be hosted by the higher seed and all rounds of the championship will reseed. The first round will take place on Sunday, November 2, followed by the semifinals on Thursday, November 6, and concluding with the championship final on Sunday, November 9.
