Offensive Player of the Week
Dolene Smith, Iona

Sophomore Dolene Smith paced the Iona University women’s soccer team with seven points in a 2-0 week of MAAC play. Smith registered three goals and one assist in the six-point week for the Gaels. The Enfield, CT native tallied her first career hat trick in Iona’s 4-0 win at Saint Peter’s on Wednesday. She recorded two first half goals before capping the scoring with 46 seconds remaining for the third hat trick by a MAAC goal scorer this season. Smith followed that up with the primary assist on Saturday, a 41st minute goal to give the Gaels a 1-0 victory over Niagara at home.
Defensive Player of the Week
Katie Wright, Fairfield
Sr., Sutton, MA, Sutton
Katie Wright allowed just one goal in Fairfield's two games, earning the shutout against Marist and the win over Canisius. She had her most impressive save in the final six seconds on the road at Canisius to preserve a 2-1 victory. The win also ties her for the most all-time in Fairfield history with 49.
Rookie of the Week
Mya Jackson, Iona
Fr., Delran, NJ, Delran
Rookie Mya Jackson had a stellar week of play, helping lead the Iona University women’s soccer team to a 2-0 week of conference play. Jackson registered four points on two assists and one goal in the pair of wins for the Maroon & Gold. The Delran, NJ native opened the week, assisting Iona’s second and final tally in the 4-0 victory at Saint Peter’s on Wednesday. She capped the week with a 41st minute goal in the eventual 1-0 home win over Niagara on Saturday. It was Jackson’s second game winning goal of the season for the Gaels.
The 2025 MAAC Women’s Soccer Championship is a six-team, single-elimination championship taking place November 2-9, 2025. Each match during the championship will be hosted by the higher seed and all rounds of the championship will reseed. The first round will take place on Sunday, November 2, followed by the semifinals on Thursday, November 6, and concluding with the championship final on Sunday, November 9.
