Duncan Robinson, Iona

Junior Duncan Robinson led Iona at the prestigious 2025 Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational, placing 44th overall in a loaded national field at the Thomas Zimmer XC Course. Robinson clocked an All-America pace time of 23:55.3 in the 8,000-meter “A” race in Madison, finishing as Iona’s top performer in an event that featured 23 programs ranked or receiving votes in the USTFCCCA Top 30 poll.
Women’s Runner of the Week
Tayla Gunton, Iona
Sr., Cairns, Australia, St. Andrew's Catholic
Junior Tayla Gunton captured the individual title at the 2025 ECAC Championship, leading the Iona to a fourth-place finish in the 6,000-meter race at Van Cortlandt Park. Gunton clocked a winning time of 20:20.6, edging Fairfield’s Hannah Snayd by just over a second to claim the top spot in a tightly contested field. Gunton becomes Iona's first-ever and the MAAC's third-ever ECAC individual champion in the near 50-year history of the event.
The 2025 MAAC Men’s & Women’s Cross Country Championships will be held at Twin Ponds on the Farm in Montgomery, New York on Saturday, November 1, 2025. 2025 will mark the third straight year that the championship races will be held at Twin Ponds on the Farm and the meets will be hosted by Manhattan University for the 31st time.
