EDISON, NJ (Dec. 15, 2025) – Fairfield University leads the 2025-26 Richard J. Ensor, Esq. Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Commissioner’s Cup standings following the fall season, announced by the league office today.
The two-time defending Commissioner’s Cup champions, Fairfield, tallied 67.00 points in the fall. The Stags won a MAAC championship title and regular season crown in volleyball, while also securing a regular season championship in women’s soccer. Additionally, Fairfield advanced to the semifinal round in both the men’s and women’s soccer championships.
Quinnipiac University sits in second place with 59.50 points, followed by Sacred Heart University in third place with 57.00 points, Siena University in fourth place with 54.50 points and Iona University rounds out the top five in fifth place with 50.00 points.
In addition to leading the overall standings, Fairfield also sits atop of the women’s standings with 46.50 points. Siena leads the men’s standings with 30.50 points, having won a men’s soccer championship and a runner-up placement in men’s cross country.
The Richard J. Ensor, Esq. MAAC Commissioner’s Cup is awarded annually as a symbol of overall excellence in athletics in the 23 championships conducted within the MAAC. Only the scores from Men’s & Women’s Basketball, plus the top six men’s and top six women’s scores are used to determine an institution’s total points. On May 1, 2023, the MAAC Council of Presidents approved the renaming of the MAAC Commissioner’s Cup after retired MAAC Commissioner Richard J. Ensor, Esq., in honor of his legacy and exemplary service to intercollegiate athletics.
