MAAC Men’s and Women’s Swimming & Diving Championships Set to Begin on Wednesday at SPIRE

GENEVA, OH (Feb. 11, 2025) – The 2025 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Men’s and Women’s Swimming & Diving Championships are set for this week from Wednesday through Saturday, February 12-15. The championships return to SPIRE Academy in Geneva, Ohio for the second straight year.

All seven sessions of the meet will be broadcast live on ESPN+. The full championship schedule of events can be found here.

Defending champions Marist University and Niagara University enter the championships as favorites to repeat following titles in 2024 and according to the Preseason Coaches’ Poll. On the men’s side, Marist snapped a 16-year drought, securing its 13th team title and becoming the MAAC’s all-time winningest program in men’s swimming & diving history last year. Marist took over the lead on day two of the championship and never relinquished the lead en route to the crown. The team title was the first for the Red Foxes since 2008, ending Rider University’s 11-year championship reign. On the women’s side, Niagara used dominating performances on the final night of the 2024 championship to win the MAAC title. It was Niagara’s second title over the past three years, and the second women’s crown in program history after winning the program’s first and only other trophy in 2022.
