Graduate student Delano Gooden delivered another standout performance at the Giegengack Invitational, capturing first place in the men’s 60m. He won his preliminary heat with a time of 6.81 before improving to 6.76 in the final, securing the event victory.

Women’s Track Athlete of the Week:
Tranira Booker, Manhattan
Fr., Valdosta, GA, Valdosta
Freshman sprinter Tranira Booker turned heads with her performance in the Women's 60m, setting a new PR with a time of 7.79 seconds for 8th place at the Giegengack Invitational hosted by Yale.
Women’s Field Athlete of the Week:
Madelyn Valpy, The Mount
Jr., Edmonton, Alberta, Austin O'Brien
Junior jumper Madelyn Valpy rewrote the record book for the Mount in the triple jump, reaching a mark of 12.10 meters during the Darius Dixon Memorial at Liberty. Distance is first among MAAC competitors for the event. Valpy has now reset the Mount's record for the triple jump four times, beginning with her sophomore season in 2023.
The 2025 MAAC Men's and Women's Indoor Track & Field Championships will be held on Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 22-23, 2025, at the Nike Track and Field Center at The Armory in New York, New York. The two-day meet will be hosted by Manhattan College and will be held at The Armory for the 21st consecutive year dating back to 2004.
