LAKE BUENA VISTA, FL (April 18, 2025) – The 2025 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Golf Championship second round concluded with Quinnipiac women and Iona men leading the standings.
Quinnipiac women held on to the first-place spot for a second consecutive day with a +12 stroke count across the two rounds. UAlbany women showed up big today, finishing the day with a +2, compared to yesterday’s +18. The Great Danes sit in second place followed by Sacred Heart in third. Callie Taylor from UAlbany jumped 18 spots on the leaderboard after shooting a -2 today.
Quinnipiac first-year Sophia Fujita remains on top of the leader board with the only combined score below par with a -2. Fellow Bobcat Fuge Zhang climbed nine spots to sit tied for second after two rounds.
Iona men pushed past Sacred Heart and Rider men to hold the top spot after two rounds. The Gaels finished even on the day and totaled a -3 across both rounds.
Individually, Tadgh Burke from Fairfield leads the men with a combined two round score of -8. The Mount’s Aaron Sorkin jumped nine spots to hold second place with a combined, two-day score of -5. Merrimack’s Kai-Jun Huang pushed his way to being tied for third by shooting even for nine straight holes.
