Fairfield’s Jandro and Saint Peter’s Strele Named MAAC Student-Athletes of the Week

Tim Strele powered the Saint Peter's offense to a 6-0 victory over George Washington on Friday, scoring the team's first four goals for their first win of the season. Strele's four goals doubled his previous career-high of two goals in a single game.

Abby Jandro, Fairfield, Volleyball

Abby Jandro was named to the Villanova Classic All-Tournament Team. The senior setter dished out 30 assists with nine digs in Fairfield's 3-2 win over reigning Big South Champion High Point. Jandro added 28 assists with six digs in Saturday's four-set clash with tournament host Villanova. Academically, Jandro is a Marketing & Sports Business major and a consistent member of the MAAC All-Academic Team throughout her career.
