Pablo Lacayo led Sacred Heart to a second-place finish at the SHU Fall Classic. He maintained his spot atop the Pios' standings with a final score of 213 (-3). The senior went 67, 70 and 76 to finish in third place individually, three strokes off participating in the playoff between Luke Stennett (URI) and Rasmus Ditzinger (Fairfield).
Female Student-Athlete of the Week
Sofia Bigeni, Women’s Soccer, Iona

Sofia Bigeni posted a five-point week for the Iona University women’s soccer team this past week. She tied for the league-high in points for the week and was named the Jersey Mike’s MAAC Offensive Player of the Week. The sophomore tallied two first half goals and a primary assist in the second half in Iona’s 3-1 win over Delaware State to close non-conference play. She opened the scoring with her first collegiate goal in the 37th minute before tacking on her first career brace just five minutes later. Bigeni was named to the 2024-25 MAAC Academic Honor Roll in her first year with the Maroon & Gold.
