Junior Aiden Coles delivered a standout performance at the 2026 IC4A Indoor Track and Field Championships, held at Boston University’s Tennis and Track Center in Boston, Massachusetts, earning medals in two highly competitive middle-distance events. Coles captured gold in the 1,000 meters, crossing the line in 2:22.54 to win the race by nearly three seconds. The performance marked the fastest 1,000-meter time in the MAAC this indoor season, surpassing the previous league best by five seconds.  It stands at No. 4 on Iona's all-time performance list and fastest in 20 years. He added a bronze medal in the 800 meters, posting a time of 1:51.95. Coles finished less than one second behind the race winner and just a quarter-second shy of silver. The mark stood only .01 seconds off the MAAC’s season-leading time, further underscoring his consistency across events.

Ethan Demeter, Mount St. Mary's
So., Kodak, TN, Northview Academy

Ethan Demeter was the champion of the pole vault at the 2026 IC4A/ECAC Championships in Boston. He earned an All-East distance of 4.90 meters. Already the MAAC leader in the event, earning that mark during the Patriot Games in January.

Men’s Rookie of the Week
Jaylen Mozone, Iona
Fr., Albany, NY, Green Tech Charter

Freshman Jaylen Mozone emerged as Iona’s top rookie performer at the 2026 IC4A Indoor Track and Field Championships, held at Boston University’s Tennis and Track Center in Boston, Massachusetts. Mozone placed fifth in the 400 meters, posting a time of 48.03 in a highly competitive championship field. The performance ranked as the third-fastest time in the MAAC this indoor season. His mark also placed No. 3 on Iona’s all-time indoor performance list in the 400 meters and stood as the program’s fastest indoor 400-meter time in nearly 40 years.

Women’s Track Performer of the Week
Nyasia Dailey, Quinnipiac
Sr., Middletown, CT, Middletown

Nyasia Dailey re-set her 60m school record and inched closer to the league mark over the weekend at the ECAC Championships, highlighting the Bobcats' performance at the two-day meet. Dailey improved her own school record, finishing the 60m race in 7.41 seconds.

Women’s Field Performer of the Week
Lauryn Piccirelli, Sacred Heart
Jr., Bay Shore, NY, Bay Shore

Piccirelli came into the weekend in a four-way tie atop the MAAC high jump standings with teammate Kaitlyn Caraco and two Quinnipiac athletes.  The tie is no more.   Competing in the 49th Annual ECAC Indoor Championship at Boston University on Saturday, Piccirelli secured the win by equaling her personal best of 1.71 meters (5' 7 ¼"), as the next closest competitor cleared 1.68 meters (5' 6").  The newly minted ECAC champion could have rested on her laurels at that point, but she kept going.  First she cleared 1.74 meters (5' 8 ½") and then she extended her MAAC lead by clearing 1.77 meters (5' 9 ¾").  Piccirelli's high jump clearance is the second best in SHU program history.

Women’s Rookie of the Week
Lourdes Lawson, Saint Peter's
Fr., West Suffield, CT, Suffield

Lourdes Lawson had a standout performance at her first ECAC Championship. On day one, Lawson threw a personal best of 12.92m in the weight throw, finishing 14th overall. On day two, the freshman field athlete broke the 13-meter barrier in the shot put, becoming just the second Peacock in program history to do so. She opened the day in the shot put, narrowly missing the podium with a fourth-place finish in a field of 17 athletes. The top four were the only competitors to surpass 13 meters. Lawson threw more than two feet past the personal best she set just last weekend at the Metropolitan Championships and finished just one foot shy of the program record (13.09m), landing a mark of 13.05m.
