Haley Ahr, Marist

Haley Ahr hit .500 with a 1.349 OPS (.786 slugging, .563 on-base) in Marist's four games in the Lion Invitational last weekend. She went 7-for-14 with four doubles, three RBIs, three runs scored, a walk, and a hit by pitch. In a win over Jackson State on Sunday, Ahr went 4-for-4 with three doubles, two RBIs, and two runs scored. She delivered a walk-off double in the bottom of the seventh to lift the Red Foxes to a 7-6 victory. The previous day, she enjoyed a multi-hit effort against Southeast Missouri State, going 2-for-4 with a double, a run scored, and an RBI. Ahr reached safely in all four of Marist's games.
Pitcher of the Week
Stella Blanchard, Marist
R-So., Southington, CT, Southington
Stella Blanchard went 2-0 with an ERA of 0.66 and a WHIP of 1.13 in her two appearances this past week. The opposition hit just .195 against her. In her first appearance of the week on Friday, Blanchard went the distance as she tossed a four-hitter with nine strikeouts against just one walk in a 5-1 win over East Texas A&M. She retired the first nine batters she faced, took a shutout into the sixth inning, and threw 65 of her 97 pitches for strikes. On Sunday, Blanchard earned the win in relief against Jackson State. She did not allow an earned run in 3.2 innings, and she recorded six strikeouts.
Rookie of the Week
Natalye DeBus, Manhattan
Fr., San Diego, CA, Canyon Hills High School
DeBus had a versatile weekend from both the pitching circle and batter's box at the Elon Softball Invitational. Going the distance in a win over Delaware State, compiling seven strikeouts in an equal amount of innings and allowing one earned run. From the plate, she hit .333 with four RBI in what was a 2-1 weekend for the Jaspers.
