2026 MAAC Men’s and Women’s Indoor Track & Field Championships Set for Weekend Competition

EDISON, NJ (Feb. 19, 2026) – The 2026 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Men’s and Women’s Indoor Track & Field Championships will be held this upcoming weekend on Saturday and Sunday, February 21 and 22. The championships return to the Nike Track and Field Center at The Armory in New York, NY for the 22nd consecutive season dating back to 2004. For the first time in program history, the championship will set to broadcast live on ESPN+.

Rider University was selected as the preseason favorites on both the men’s and women’s side for the fourth consecutive year with the men earning the selection unanimously. The Broncs are aiming to secure their fourth consecutive MAAC Championship titles. The men are looking to claim their fifth title, having previously captured the crown in 2017, while the women aim to secure their sixth championship after earning titles in 2020 and 2007.

On the men’s side, Iona University enters the championship as a strong contender, having finished behind Rider in three of the last four seasons while on the women’s side, Quinnipiac University has placed second to Rider each year since 2023. Despite their consistent top finishes and second-place selections in their respective preseason polls, neither program has captured a MAAC Indoor Track & Field Championship title.
