LAKE BUENA VISTA, FL (Apr. 22, 2026) – The second round of the 2026 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Women’s Golf Championship concluded Wednesday, with Quinnipiac University once again atop the leaderboard.

Quinnipiac held onto the top spot for a second straight round, carding a 2-under team score on the day to move to +9 overall through 36 holes. Fairfield University remains in second after posting a 4-over round, bringing its tournament total to +17, while UAlbany sits in third following a 14-over team score, now +32 overall. Merrimack made the move up the leaderboard, climbing from fifth into fourth after a strong second-round showing.

Reigning McLeod Trophy winner Sophia Fujita of Quinnipiac surged to the top of the leaderboard on day two, firing a 3-under round to move to 2-under for the tournament. The leaderboard saw plenty of movement, as the first-round leader slipped into a tie for sixth after carding a 5-over round, bringing her to +5 overall. Fairfield’s Grace Windfelder holds steady in second place and is now joined by Quinnipiac’s Samantha Galanti, who climbed the leaderboard with a strong second-round performance.

After day two, Quinnipiac and Fairfield each place three golfers inside the top 10, followed by Merrimack and UAlbany with two apiece. The leaderboard also welcomed some new names, including Fairfield’s Addie Chang, who delivered the highlight of the day with an ace on the par-3 third hole—the only hole-in-one recorded in the tournament so far. Chang carded an even-par round to move to +5 overall, finishing the day in a tie for sixth.
