Men’s Swimmer of the Week:
Oleksiy Polishchuk, Saint Peter’s
5Y, Bayonne, NJ, County Prep
Polishchuk contributed seven wins in two meets over the weekend, including a perfect four-for-four against Monmouth. Against the Hawks, he stayed undefeated in breaststroke races this season by swimming the second-fastest time of his collegiate career in the 100 Breast (57.87) and beating the field by more than nine seconds in the 200 Breast (2:07.28). He also won the 200-yard breaststroke against Wagner (2:13.55) and was a major role player in the Peacocks sweeping all four relays over the course of the two meets. Polishchuk has won 11 of the 14 individual events he has entered this season, finishing no lower than second place in any race.
Men’s Diver of the Week:
Sean Binning, Rider
Fr., Annandale, VA, W.T. Woodson
Binning won both the 1-meter and the 3-meter in the Broncs dual win over NJIT. Binning scored 287.85 on the 3-meter and 246.40 on the 1-meter.
