Men’s Swimmer of the Week
Michael Faughnan, Iona

Iona won the 2024 ECAC Winter Championships, led by Most Valuable Swimmer, Michael Faughnan. He was part of the 400-yard Freestyle relay gold winning at 2:57.25, breaking the existing MAAC record of 2:58.13 set by Rider in 2019. He continued his assault on the MAAC and Iona record book, taking gold in the men's 500-yard Freestyle – winning by over 6 seconds - with an NCAA Championship B-standard of 4:19.35, lowering both his MAAC and school marks. Faughnan won the 200-Free at 1:35.12. Faughnan took his third individual gold medal at 47.28 in the 100 yard backstroke.  
 
Men’s Co-Diver of the Week
Dylan Riccio, Iona
Jr., Harrison, NY, Archbishop Stepinac
 
Junior Diver Dylan Riccio edged out teammate for gold on the 1-Meter Springboard (227.45), earning Coach Maureen Arnold "Coach-of-the Meet" and Riccio "Diver-of-the-Meet honors" at the 2024 ECAC Winter Championships.  He also placed first in the 3-meter dive with a score of 240.00. 
 
Men’s Co-Diver of the Week
Stavros Xantheas, Rider
So., West Orange, NJ, West Orange
 
Xantheas won both boards at the Pace Diving Invitational. He scored 269.95 on the 1-meter and 260.95 on the 3-meter to secure both victories.
 
Women’s Swimmer of the Week
Hope Ivanovich, Siena
So., Trumbull, CT, Trumbull
 
Hope Ivanovich set a pair of Siena Swim & Dive program records, as well as recorded top-10 program performances, to help lead the Saints to the second ECAC Winter Championships title in program history. On Saturday, the sophomore captured the ECAC 100 fly title with a program-record time of 55.02. The mark is also the top time among MAAC swimmers. Ivanovich followed up on Sunday by breaking her own 200 fly program record, touching the wall in 2:05.04 to once again clock the fastest time among MAAC swimmers. Her program top-10 performance times included the 200 IM (2:09.89), and the 200 back (2:09.02). 
 
Women’s Diver of the Week
Sinclair Yadao, Sacred Heart
1Y., Sacramento, CA, St. Francis Catholic
 
At the Pace Invitational on Sunday, Sinclair Yadao earned a first place and third place finish.  She secured first in the 1M with a score of 252.90 and finished third in the 3M with a score of 239.80.
 
The 2025 MAAC Men's & Women's Swimming & Diving Championships is a four-day meet that will take place February 12-15, 2025, and will be hosted at SPIRE Academy in Geneva, Ohio. 2025 will mark the second straight year the championships are hosted at SPIRE.
