Rider Men's Swimming & Diving Claim Their 10th Straight MAAC Crown

BUFFALO, NY (February 12, 2022) – At the end of the final day of competition, the Rider University men’s team hoisted the MAAC trophy for the 10th straight year. The Broncs scored a total of 706 points over the four-day competition, highlighted by a victory in the Men’s 400 Freestyle Relay to cap off the victory.

Day 4 Highlights
  • Monmouth’s Callan Smith broke his own MAAC record (1:43.92) with a time of 1:43.89 in the Men’s 200 Backstroke.
  • Marist’s Ahmed Sallam swam a strong 100 Freestyle with a time of 44.04.
  • Canisius’ Archie Minto came in with a strong last 50 in the Men’s 200 Butterfly to take first place with a time of 1:47.87.
  • Binning takes the 1m Dive with a score of 252.30 from Rider University.
  • In the final heat of the championship, the Broncs took the Men’s 400 Freestyle Relay with a time of 3:00.33. Rider’s relay team consisted of Lucas Racevicius, Jack Ruggieri, Webster Bozzo, and Joseph Gewartowski.
