Ruffolo led Niagara to a win over Youngstown State last weekend, finishing in the second in the 200 free (1:47.04), 100 free (48.83), and 200 IM (1:58.53). Ruffolo also helped Niagara take first place in the 200 free relays with a time of 1:26.11 and a 2
nd place mark in the 400 free relay with a time of 3:12.55.
Men’s Diver of the Week:
John Furner, Niagara
So., Haddonfield, NJ, Haddonfield Memorial
Furner recorded a six-dive score of 253.70 on the 1-meter board, followed by a 265.10 on the 3-meter. Finishing second in both events.
Women’s Swimmer of the Week:
Paige South, Niagara
So., Uniontown, OH
South posted top-five finishes with times of 27:47 and 27:27 in the 50 back and 50 fly, respectively. She also helped Niagara post relay times of 4:01.33 (400 medley), 1:40.56 (200 free), and 3:41.83 (400 free).
Women’s Diver of the Week:
Morgan Macmahon, Niagara
Sr., Mohnton, PA, Governor Mifflin
MacMahon collected scores of 195.65 and 195.70 in the 1-meter and 3-meter diving events at Duquesne.
The 2023 MAAC Men's & Women’s Swimming & Diving Championships return to the Burt Flickinger Center on the campus of Erie Community College (ECC) in Buffalo, NY for the 12th consecutive year. The four-day meet co-hosted by Canisius College and Niagara University will take place from Wednesday, February 8 through Saturday, February 11.
