EDISON, NJ, (Oct. 30, 2025) – The 2025 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Men’s & Women’s Cross Country Championships take place this weekend on Saturday, November 1, 2025. The 2025 MAAC Men’s & Women’s Cross Country Championships will be held at Twin Ponds on the Farm in Montgomery, New York, marking the third straight year that the championship races will be held on the course and the meets will be hosted by Manhattan University for the 31st time.
Championship Saturday races will feature the women’s 6k race at 11:00 a.m. followed by the men’s 8k race at 12:00 p.m.
The event will commence with women’s 6k race at 11:00 a.m. with preseason favorites and three-time defending MAAC champion, Quinnipiac University, seeking the program’s fourth consecutive conference title – fifth overall. The Bobcats had five runners secure All-MAAC accolades at the 2025 Championship, with Rachel St. Germain (5
th) and Sierra Gray (6
th) returning this year, in addition to MAAC All-Rookie Team choice Madeleine O'Neill and first year Natalie Crocker who picked up the final MAAC Runner of the Week award to close out the regular season. Iona will look to dethrone Quinnipiac and return to the top of the MAAC for the first time since 2021 after finishing as the runner-up the past two years. The Gaels had a trio of All-MAAC honorees in 2024, returning All-MAAC runner and MAAC All-Rookie Team earner Muireann Duffy (15
th), MAAC All-Rookie Team selection Kiera Atkinson and 2023 Most Outstanding Runner and MAAC Individual champion Tayla Gunton. Individually, keep an eye on 2024 Most Outstanding Runner, Most Outstanding Rookie and MAAC Individual champion Hannah Snayd of Fairfield who finished the 6k course in a MAAC Championship course record time of 20:36.3 last year, becoming the first ever individual MAAC champion from Fairfield.
At noon, the men’s race will occur with 34-time defending champion Iona University, looking to continue its three-decade reign at the championship and extend its NCAA record to 35 consecutive MAAC crowns. The Gaels have secured the MAAC trophy every season dating back 1991 and the program has claimed a MAAC-leading 39 total men’s titles since the inaugural MAAC championship in 1981. Iona secured the top six spots and 11 out of the top-15 positions, garnering a perfect team score of 15 at the 2024 Championship. The Gaels return five 2024 All-MAAC Team runners that include silver medalist Matt Rankin, bronze medalist Aiden Coles, Tristan Coles (4
th), 2024 MAAC All-Rookie Team pick Bradley Giblin (9
th), and Scott Fagan (10
th). Siena University will look to challenge Iona for the fourth straight season following another second-place finish at the 2024 Championship. The Saints will be led by 2024 MAAC All-Rookie Team member Colin Brunelle and two-time MAAC Runner of the Week Jackson Cayward.
