Fairfield’s Duo of Theriault and Zaun, Niagara’s Poissant Earn Jersey Mike’s MAAC Women’s Soccer Weekly Awards

Maddy Theriault tallied 10 points on four goals and two assists in Fairfield's 2-0 week. In a 2-1 win at Boston University on Thursday, she contributed to both Stags tallies, assisting on the first goal and then following that up by scoring the game winning goal. On Sunday in the Stags 4-1 home opener victory against Vermont, Theriault tied a Lessing Field record with seven points including her first career hat trick. She has been a part of all seven goals this year with five goals and two assists.
 
Defensive Player of the Week
Julia Poissant, Niagara

Niagara rookie goalkeeper Julia Poissant led the Purple Eagles to a 2-0 shutout win over Le Moyne on Thursday. Poissant played all 90 minutes in the net, earning her first career shutout win. In the victory, she recorded one save and improved her season record to 2-0.

Payton Zaun, Fairfield

Payton Zaun recorded two points in a 2-0 week for Fairfield. In her first game on Lessing Field, Zaun recorded two assists on back-to-back scores that put the Stags up 3-0 in an eventual 4-1 win over Vermont.
 
The 2025 MAAC Women’s Soccer Championship is a six-team, single-elimination championship taking place November 2-9, 2025. Each match during the championship will be hosted by the higher seed and all rounds of the championship will reseed. The first round will take place on Sunday, November 2, followed by the semifinals on Thursday, November 6, and concluding with the championship final on Sunday, November 9.
