Male Student-Athlete of the Week
Devin Dinkins, Manhattan, Men’s Basketball
R-Jr. / Washington, DC, Gonzaga
Dinkins has been integral for the Jaspers on and off the court this season, logging a 36.7 field-goal percentage from the field, with a whopping 90.1 free-throw rate from the charity stripe in all 23 games played this season. Dinkins has also averaged 13.2 points per game and has assisted on 62 made baskets. In the classroom, Dinkins, a Washington, DC native, has logged a 3.61 GPA in his pursuit of a Bachelor’s Degree in Organizational Leadership.
Female Student-Athlete of the Week
Jessie Burch, Sacred Heart, Women’s Golf
Sr. / Dublin, Calif., Dublin Unified
Burch continues to be a staple on the Sacred Heart women's golf team, ranking second on the Pios this season with a 77.0 adjusted scoring average in 11 rounds of play. The senior from Dublin, Calif., finished a season-best fifth in a field of 90 golfers at the Battle at the Creek in early September. She is coming off a career-best junior season that saw her make a CSC Academic All-District At-Large Team. Heading into this year, Burch maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.87 as a Finance major.
