Quinnipiac Wins 2026 MAAC Women’s Outdoor Track and Field Championship, Captures the MAAC Triple Crown Powered by Northeast Beef

EMMITSBURG, MD (May 10, 2026) – Quinnipiac University won the 2026 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Women's Outdoor Track & Field Championship on Sunday afternoon at Morgan Track in Emmitsburg, MD, achieving a feat that had not been done in 23 years by completing the season sweep of the 2025-26 season. The Bobcats scored a total of 164.25 points, topping host Mount St. Mary’s by 25.25 points during the two-day event to secure the program’s first MAAC outdoor tittle in its history. With the win, Quinnipiac became the first program in the MAAC since Manhattan in 2002-2003 to complete the MAAC trifecta by winning the Cross Country Championship, Indoor Track & Field Championship, and Outdoor Track & Field Championship in the same season.
 
On the final day of the championship, Quinnipiac secured one-third of the gold medals, winning five out of the 15 total events. The Bobcats had four individual MAAC Champions and one relay team earn a league title, spearheaded by Isabella Anzaldo, who won the 200m, 400m and was a leg on gold winning 4x100 relay team. Anzaldo set a MAAC record in the 200m (23.88) and teamed up with Nyasia Dailey, Kiera Baxter, and Michelle Tota to win the 4x100 relay in a MAAC record time of 45.57. Dailey was a record setter in the 100m, winning the MAAC crown in a record sprint of 11.46. Securing the final gold medal for the Bobcats was Gabrielle Appiah in the shot put, logging a championship toss of 13.49m.
 
On top of the five gold medals, Quinnipiac garnered six podium spots on Sunday, for a total of 11 medals. The other Bobcats to collect hardware included Lauren Fadairo in the triple jump (bronze), Weronika Lewna in the 1500m (bronze), Sydney Lavelle in the 100m hurdle (bronze), and silver in both the 4x800 and 4x400 relays. The 4x800 relay squad featured Ashlynn Witt, Ashley Carillo, Weronika Lewna, and Claire O'Sullivan, while the 4x400 relay unit included Sydney Lavelle, Anzaldo, Tamia Chapman, and Michelle Tota.
