Male Student-Athlete of the Week
Colby Barker, Merrimack, Baseball
Jr./ Warwick, R.I., Pilgrim High School
Junior Colby Barker had accumulated eight wins on his impressive season, which currently is tied with the program record. Barker's eight wins is also the most in the MAAC. Colby has asserted himself as a top arm in the conference, earning top ten honors in opposing batting average and innings pitched.
The Rhode Island native has also lit it up in the classroom earning All-Academic team honors this year. He is currently majoring in business administration, with a concentration in finance.
Female Student-Athlete of the Week
Rachel St. Germain, Quinnipiac, Cross Country
Sr./ Somers, CT
St. Germain was a key part of the Bobcats' MAAC Championship in outdoor track and field, winning the 3000m Steeplechase and finishing third in the 5k to medal in both of her championship events. She helped Quinnipiac to the MAAC triple crown in winning the cross country and both indoor and outdoor titles.
